Tazewell County Jaycees to Hold Free Rotten Egg Hunt

If children did not get their fill of hunting for eggs over the Easter holiday, there will be another chance for them to load up on sweet treats at the Tazewell County Jaycees first annual Rotten Egg Hunt.

The Rotten Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 10th at Baseball Diamond #2 in Mineral Springs Park in Pekin. Children 4 & under will hunt at 1:00 p.m., the 5-7 age bracket will participate at 1:45 p.m., and the 8-12 age bracket will begin at 2:30 p.m. Eggs will be replenished between hunts.

If children find an egg that contains a slip of paper announcing it is “rotten”, they will receive a grand prize. All children are responsible for bringing their own bags or baskets.

The Rotten Egg Hunt is free and will take place rain or shine. For more information, please contact Joy Pennell at 309-265-6762.

The Tazewell County Jaycees is a leadership training organization for individuals age 18-40. Jaycees programs stress the development of leadership and managerial skills through the running of projects that benefit the community.
