Spruce up Pekin

Spruce up Pekin - Saturday May 1, 2010

From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 1, Pekin residents can drop off their trash at four locations:
The Mineral Springs Park parking lot, Fire Station No. 2 at 14th and Willow streets, 1130 Koch, and the intersection of Knapp and Sapp streets.

At the Mineral Springs Park location, Safety Kleen will pick up used oil, and Interstate Batteries will collect anything from small batteries to car batteries.  The site will also be a drop-off location for any iron, from lawn mowers to truck parts, besides propane tanks.  Oil & antifreeze will only be accepted at this location only.

Going Green Computers will accept electronics at the Mineral Springs Park location only.
It will accept all computer-related items and wiring EXCEPT monitors and televisions.

The service Center at 1130 Koch is the only site that will accept tires.  A disposal fee will be charged.
