Christmas on Court Celebrates Another Year of Holiday Spirit

Pekin, IL- A quintessential Christmas experience returned to Downtown Pekin this past Friday, December 2nd.  Santa made an appearance along with Abraham Lincoln and the Grinch (maybe in more than one place). Businesses in the downtown area were open for shopping as well as pop-up market vendors for a diverse holiday shopping experience.   Christmas on Court is hosted by the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the City of Pekin Tourism Committee, Discover Pekin, and Discover Peoria. This family event emphasizes supporting a “shop small” initiative with the Pekin community.  #ShopLocal365 is a regional partnership encouraging community members to shop local at the holidays and year-round. With each community in the Greater Peoria region offering unique specialty retailers, the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce invites residents and guests from the region to use Christmas on Court as an opportunity to visit and shop Pekin.

Our students want to know how you got your job, what kind of training you had to do, whether or not you went to college, and what you do on a daily basis. They want to know what you like and dislike and what you would do differently if you could.    If I’ve talked to you previously, you know that my mission is to expose PCHS students to as many opportunities as possible during the short t
