The Pekin Riding Club is launching its 66th year and has announced the dates for the 2010 Open Fun Shows, which take place the 2nd and 4th week of each month from May to October. The Pekin Riding Club is a membership-based, non-profit organization that is open to horse enthusiasts of all skill levels.
The Pekin Riding Club offers a great place for casual riders, competitors participating in the Paint Alternative Competition, and anyone warming up horses for 4-H shows, breed shows or even NBHA (National Barrel Horse Association) shows.
Fun Shows offer horse enthusiasts of all skill levels to participate in events such as Halter, Showmanship, Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Trail, Walk-Trot, Equitation, Scudaho, Pole Bending, Barrels and Flags. Age brackets include youth, teen and adult. Members and non-members are welcome to attend and/or participate, and members are eligible for year-end awards.
Show dates this year are May 14th, May 28th, June 8th, June 22nd, July 13th, July 27th, August 10th, August, 24th, September 10th, September 24th, October 8th, and October 22nd.
