Shade-Lohmann Works Begins April 3

The Illinois Department of Transportation announces upcoming lane closures on the Shade-Lohmann Bridge beginning Tuesday, April 3.

Crews will spend approximately two weeks preparing to transition all traffic to the westbound lanes before repainting the structure that carries eastbound Interstate 474/U.S. 24 over the Illinois River between Bartonville and Creve Coeur. The construction zone is expected to be in place through early September.

Please slow down and use extreme caution while driving through all work zones. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and watch for changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices, and be alert for workers and equipment.
