New General Manager Named for Pekin’s Holiday Inn Express & Suites

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites is pleased to announce the appointment of Lacy Gasparac, as general manager.
Lacy has over a decade of hospitality and retail experience within Pekin community. This is a promotion from her most recent position at the property as its Front Office manager. Lacy has already assumed her new position and is working diligently with IHG Hotels specialists, her regional team, and Kirstin Altman, the Director of Sales to transition into the role.
Having excelled in the industry for over a decade, Lacy has assumed roles in hotel operations, sales, accounting, guest services, including championing the guest experience. This well-rounded experience in hotel management will serve her well in this new position. “Lacy’s commitment to her team along with delivering excellent service and guest experiences, has been her path to success. Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
