Leadership Academy Kicks Off

The 2019 R. David Tebben Community Leadership Academy began this morning.  This is the 21st edition of the academy.  The Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce held the first academy in 1999.

The class received their materials and learned more about the program from Bill Fleming, the chamber's executive director, and Renna Hadsall, the chamber's events manager.  They also met all of their classmates with a fast-paced speed networking exercise.

The group will meet twice each week for 10 weeks, hearing from several community leaders and touring several area businesses and facilities.
