New Member Appointed to Pekin Hospital Board of Trustees

Jason W. Proehl, of Manito, was recently appointed to Pekin Hospital’s Board of Trustees to serve a three-year term.  He will fill a position vacated by Scott Jeckel. 

Jason is an attorney with Kuhfuss & Proehl, P.C. in Pekin, where he is a general practitioner with a focus in Agriculture Law, Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate, and Small Businesses.  In addition, he and his wife, Amanda (Galvin) Proehl, own and operate the Subway restaurant in Manito.  Jason and his family also farm in both Tazewell and Mason counties.

Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in agriculture from the University of Illinois.  He then graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law with a Juris Doctor.

He is Vice President of the Tazewell County Bar Association.  He attends St. John’s Lutheran Church – Sand Prairie, where he also serves on the Contemporary Worship Committee.

He and his wife have two sons, J.J. and Joseph, and reside in Manito.

Pekin Hospital is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of civic and business leaders.  The Board is responsible for the quality of patient care, along with the property, funds, and affairs of the hospital.  Board members include:  Steven Clark, M.D., Curtis Eeten, Kathryn Kramer, M.D., Rich Kriegsman, Janet Lange, John E. Lovell, M.D., Ron Miller, Ward Sirotak, Andrew Sparks, and Michael Tibbs.
