Children's Advocacy Center Grand Opening

On October 7th the Tazewell County Children's Advocacy Center celebrated the completion of their new addition to their facility on Buena Vista. Althea Geiser, President of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce, and Rusty Dunn, Mayor of the City of Pekin, assisted the Center's Executive Director, Barb Strand, with the ribbon cutting to officially open the new addition. Before cutting the ribbon, Tazewell County States Attorney Stewart Umholtz spoke, as did Barb Strand and Mary Ann Ladendorf, the President of the "Friends' board. An open house with refreshments and tours was held throughout the afternoon and evening.
