RIVERFRONT CONCERTS BROUGHT IN AN ESTIMATED $5.1 MILLION IN ECONOMIC REVENUE TO THE PEORIA, IL AREA!
2018 was again a very successful season of concerts on the Peoria Riverfront! Ticket sales for the 3 of the largest music series (Spring Fling, Tailgate N’ Tallboys, River City Soul Fest) in central Illinois topped over 40,000 tickets sold! Over 30 states were represented at the concerts this summer, with an increasing percentage of “out-of-towners” coming in to enjoy the festivities. According to economic impact calculations from the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, the 10 dates brought in an estimated $5,114,796 (MILLION) in to the local economy. The calculations take into consideration money spent in our area on food, retail, fuel, accommodations and entertainment outside of the event. 2018 headliners and support included: Stone Sour, Stone Temple Pilots, Sevendust, Chase Rice, Kane Brown, Old Dominion, Charlie Daniels, Cody Jinks, Lee Brice, Joe Nichols, Nelly, Jon Pardi, Sawyer Brown, Whitey Morgan, Jerrod Niemann, Ja Rule, Ashanti and Chingy. There were over 30 additional bands included in the show dates.
With the success of year 2 in the books, Inked Entertainment, in conjunction with the Peoria Park District, is already setting their eyes on growing the events in 2019. Rock 105.7 the X Spring Fling, River City Soul Fest and other big-name shows will be announced over the next several months.
The 2019 Tailgate N’ Tallboys dates will be held on June 13-17; July 20-21 and September 14. Each date will have multiple big-name acts, along with many local artists and festivities. The first round of artists announcements will be coming out on November 6. 6 Pack Passes (which include entry to all festival dates) are currently on sale.
