ICC East Peoria Campus Performing Arts Center Mainstage Theatre

What:  Disney’s The Lion King company members will hold a closed question and answer session with ICC performing arts program students. Company members are in town during the run of their show at the Peoria Civic Center through October 13. Only members of the press are invited to attend this exclusive closed session with students and the company.
Why: The session will give ICC performing arts program students the opportunity to hear first-hand about the experiences of members of Disney’s The Lion King touring company members. Students will have the opportunity to learn how some of the concepts and material learned in performing arts classes are used and applied in the “real world” from company members.
Among its academic offerings, the ICC Arts and Behavioral Sciences Department features a strong performing arts program with classes in theatre, music and dance. ICC Theatre students perform four plays per year, and the ICC Music Program includes three vocal music ensembles and three instrumental music ensembles which hold on-campus concerts and perform at events throughout the area.
