Savant Team Expands and Advisor Earns Certified Planner Designation

Savant Capital Management, a nationally recognized fee-only wealth management firm headquartered in Rockford, is pleased to announce Financial Advisor Jim Foley recently earned his Certified Financial Planner designation, and Penny Post-Freeman joined the team in Peoria as the Office Manager and Client Services Coordinator. Candidate Fitness Standards, agree to abide by CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility which puts clients' interests first, and comply with the Financial Planning Practice Standards which spell out what clients should be able to reasonably expect from the financial planning engagement. To become certified, applicants must complete the "4 E’s" – Education, Examination, Experience and Ethics.

Foley is the Director of Advisory and Business Development with Savant. He is also a member of Savant’s Senior Management Team. Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
