CEFCU announces three golden mirror awards for marketing campaigns

CEFCU is proud to announce that they were recognized with three 2010 Credit Union Executive Society (CUES) Golden Mirror marketing awards. Each year CUES honors exceptional credit union marketing campaigns in categories including television, radio, and print media.

CEFCU won first-place awards in the television and radio categories for commercial ads titled the “Claw” and “Snap,” which supported the Credit Union’s 2009 Visa Credit Card campaign. The “Claw” television commercial shows a young woman playing the popular crane carnival game hoping to win the best credit card option, a CEFCU Visa. In the radio commercial entitled “Snap,” frustrated people gather to snap their credit cards in half because of high fees and slashed limits, selecting the CEFCU card because it offers the best value. And, an Award of Merit in the Logo Category was given to CEFCU’s “Stones” Youth Account Program. The program logos were designed by CEFCU’s in-house marketing staff.

Sue Yoder, CEFCU Vice President said, “CEFCU is honored to have won multiple awards in the 2010 Golden Mirror Awards competition. Staff works diligently throughout the year to produce effective and memorable marketing campaigns. It’s gratifying to receive recognition of this level from your peers.”

With assets totaling over $4.4 billion, CEFCU serves 275,000 members through 19 Central Illinois Member Centers; Valley Credit Union, a division of CEFCU; the CEFCU Financial Center; the Money Center 24 ATM Network; CEFCU’s Web site, http://www.cefcu.com/; and cefcu.mobi.
