Methodist at Pekin Physician wins “Q” Award from Quality Quest for Health
Quality Quest for Health has recognized Christopher Von Hake, DO, of Methodist at Pekin with the inaugural “Q Award.” Dr. Von Hake was recognized as the top performer for generic prescribing in the specialty of Ear, Nose and Throat The award is based on information from the Quality Quest for Health 2nd quarter 2009 Generic Prescribing Report. The report tracks the generic prescribing rate at the clinic level across seven specialties in seven counties in Central Illinois.
Dr. Gail Amundson, President and CEO of Quality Quest for Health, said, “We want to recognize the clinics that are doing the best job of helping patients be able to afford their medicines. Our Q Award winners are also helping get better patient outcomes because patients have a higher adherence rate for taking medications when their prescriptions are cost effective.”

The information helps providers compare their performance to peers and regional/national benchmarks and to improve patient care.
