CEFCU ANNOUNCES NEW MY SAVE CERTIFICATE AND COLLEGE PLANNING TOOL
CEFCU is proud to announce two new ways to help members plan and save for the future. The My Save Certificate and a Web-based College Planning Tool are now available for CEFCU members.
The My Save Certificate is a convenient way to build savings. With only a $5 minimum deposit, members have the ability to open a Certificate and make additional deposits of any amount throughout the year, up to $1,000,and still earn a regular 12-month Certificate rate. At the end of the12-month term if the balance is $1,000 or more, the My Save Certificate will automatically be rolled into a regular Certificate with a 12-month term. If the balance is less than $1,000, the Certificate will renew into another 12-month MySave Certificate.
Pete Jain, CEFCU Vice President said, "This is a great way for parents to build their child's savings with a higher rate than a traditional savings account. The flexibility with deposits makes it easy - members can set up a payroll deduction, electronic transfer, or make a deposit at any Member Center."
A new College Planning Tool, developed by Collegiate Funding Solutions, can help parents save for and reduce college costs. The tool is FREE to CEFCU Members and can be found on CEFCU's Web site, www.cefcu.com. The questionnaire takes less than15 minutes to complete and provides members with a FREE customized report, based on their individual situations.
"With the cost of a college education constantly on the rise, having a strong, well-thought-out savings plan for your child's education is more important than ever. That's where CEFCU's new Web-based College Planning Tool can help. And, CEFCU Representatives are available to help discuss the customized reports and put plans in motion," stated Sue Yoder, CEFCU Vice President.
With assets totaling over $4.1 billion, CEFCU serves 267,000 members through 19 Central Illinois Member Centers; Valley Credit Union, a division of CEFCU; the CEFCU Financial Center; the Money Center 24 ATMNetwork; CEFCU's Web site, www.cefcu.com<http://www.cefcu.com/>; andcefcu.mobi.
