Herget Bank Congratulates Mike Krohe, Now a Certified Financial Planner™

Herget Bank is pleased to announce that Mike Krohe, a Trust Officer with their Trust & Investment Services department, has successfully completed the certification process and is now a Certified Financial Planner™.

Krohe was recently authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to use the certification marks of a Certified Financial Planner (CFP)™. The authorization indicates Krohe passed the CFP Board certification examination covering the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, estate planning, retirement and employee benefits.

Krohe joined Herget Bank in 2002 with nine years of financial planning, insurance and securities experience. He has been responsible for administering account relationships at the Bank and utilizing his financial planning experience for the Bank’s Trust & Investment customers.

A graduate from Western Illinois University, Krohe is a Certified Public Accountant and member of The Estate Planning Council of Central Illinois. He is also active in community affairs, including the Pekin Rotary Club and his local church. He can be reached by calling 347-1131.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
