Seventh Annual “ICC Presents: Jim Maloof’s Legacy of Love for the Arts in Central Illinois” Returns to the East Peoria Campus April 15

showcases the outstanding talent of Central Illinois
Illinois Central College welcomes the
Peoria Ballet, The Penguin Project, Illinois Youth Symphony, ICC Vocal Jazz and
Hard Bop Jazz Band, the family of former Peoria Mayor Jim Maloof, and more to
raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This one-night only
event, “ICC Presents: Jim Maloof’s Legacy of Love for the Arts in Central
Illinois,” returns to the ICC Performing Arts Center on Mon., April 15 at 6:30
pm. Doors open at 6 pm.
The family-friendly entertainment extravaganza, in its seventh year, is
designed to highlight Maloof’s local and national legacy with St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital and his love for the arts in central Illinois. The
entire event is planned and executed by ICC students and volunteers each year,
with all proceeds going toward St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Tickets are $8 per person, and seating is limited. Purchase tickets online at ArtsAtICC.com
or through the ICC box office at (309) 694-5136. All proceeds will benefit the
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
This spectacular evening is filled with entertainment suitable for all ages and
celebrates Maloof’s significant contributions to Peoria area arts and in the
founding of the St. Jude Peoria Affiliate. The ICC Hard Bop Jazz Band will
offer a boisterous opening to the evening. The Peoria Ballet, Penguin Project,
Peoria Civic Chorale, Pride of Peoria barbershop quartet, Youth Music Illinois,
and ICC Vocal Jazz also will be featured. The Maloof Sisters, Markie and Michy
Maloof, will round out the evening with a special closing performance.
Special guests include ICC Board of Trustees member Gale Thetford, members of
the Maloof family, and former St. Jude patient Tori Lodge. There will be a
cookie and punch reception at the close of the event.
