IDOT Work at U.S. 24/150/Illinois 16 to begin March 18
The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that construction at the U.S. 24/U.S. 150/Illinois interchange will begin Monday, March 18.
The work will require lane closures on the eastbound Illinois 116 lanes March 18 and on westbound lanes March 19, and is expected to last through fall.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
