Quinn Johnston Welcomes Mitch Gilfillan as Partner
The
Peoria-based law firm of Quinn, Johnston, Henderson, Pretorius and Cerulo is
pleased to welcome Mitch Gilfillan at its newest partner. Mitch practices law
in several areas: civil litigation defense, corporations and transactions,
family law, estate planning and sports agency management. His clients range
from insurance companies and business owners to individuals in the Peoria area
with their personal, legal concerns. Drawing on his past experience as an NCAA
Division I basketball player and coach, Mitch also lends legal advice to
collegiate coaches and athletic directors.
Mitch’s successes and enthusiasm for his law practice have not
gone unnoticed: the Law Bulletin Publishing Company has named him an “Illinois
Emerging Lawyer,” and for his pro bono work the Peoria County Bar Association
named him their 2017 Peoria County Young Lawyer of the Year.
“Mitch’s blend of energy, drive and intelligence is not easily
surpassed,” says firm partner Kevin Miller. “He demonstrates a profound
dedication to his work, his team and most importantly, his clients. We proudly
welcome him as a new firm partner.”
Mitch is committed to giving back to his community and his
profession: he serves on multiple boards including the Pediatric Resource
Center, Children’s Hospital of Illinois, Peoria Friendship House and Peoria
County Bar Association. He also assists with the St. Philomena’s Men’s Club,
IHSA March Madness Volunteer Committee and helps to organize the Strides for
Justice 5K Race to benefit Prairie State Legal Services. He is an active member
with the Peoria County, Illinois State and American Bar Associations.
