Soderstrom Skin Institute Moves to New Morton Location

Soderstrom Skin Institute held a grand opening at their new Morton facility, and the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce was there to help them celebrate. Dr. Carl W. Soderstrom was joined by the medical staff and associates for the ribbon cutting. The new facility is located at 410 Maxine Drive, which is just off Detroit Avenue, just south of Route 98. With more than 125 years of combined experience, the board certified dermatologists, plastic surgeon, Mohs micrographic surgeon, and certified physician assistants are qualified to diagnose and treat all skin conditions.

Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
