Bill Fleming, Executive Director of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce, attended a Washington, DC "fly-in" with other business and community leaders from Central Illinois. In addition to some "sight seeing" there were several briefings by legislators and private meetings with legislators and bureaucrats. Other chamber members in attendance included Leigh Ann Matthews, the City of Pekin's Economic Development Coordinator; Courtney Antonini, the Courthouse Administrator from Tazewell County; Nancy Proehl, Tazewell County Board Member; Rich Kriegsman, KMI Warehouses; and Mike Unes, the State Representative from the 91st District.
