August Puttin' On Pekin Recap

About 70 chamber members were up early to enjoy a beautiful August morning and the Puttin' On Pekin breakfast. Emcee Rob Hancock presented Sue from Jake's Place with the early prize, while Stephanie Stoneking won the late prize. Committee Member Otera Brinson presented the Spotlight on Business Award to Alissa Williams from the Pekin Public Library.  The Blue Ribbon Award was presented by Rose Hasler to Liz Curtain from Classical Dance Academy and developer Todd Thompson.  Laura Gossmeyer presented the Sunshine Award to Sharon Brandon of the Miller Senior Center.  Gary Gillis and Doug Godke were the featured speakers, and talked about 40  years of Marigold Festivals.
