PEKIN LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING

Pekin Life Insurance Company held its annual meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. 
The Company reported net income of $1.5 million. Premium income increased by 0.5 percent to $185.4 million. Life Insurance in force exceeded $18.9 billion at year-end 2019. 
At the meeting, shareholders elected directors Steven R. Anderson, Loves Park, Illinois; Anthony S. Burkhart, Vincennes, Indiana; and Brian K. Lee, Pekin, Illinois, to three year terms to expire in May 2023. 
Other directors whose terms continue are: Craig W. Concklin, Hinsdale, Illinois; Daniel V. Connell, Tremont, Illinois; John S. Heller, East Peoria, Illinois; Thomas C. Hornstein, Pekin, Illinois; Scott A. Martin, Chillicothe, Illinois; and Christine A. Schwartz, Pekin, Illinois. 
Pekin Insurance officers elected to Pekin Life Insurance Company included: Scott A. Martin, Chairman of the Board, Steven R. Anderson, Vice Chairman of the Board; Daniel Connell, Chief Executive Officer; Brian K. Lee, President and Chief Operating Officer; Michael A. Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
