CASA: Upcoming Virtual Volunteer Info Meeting & Training
CASA of the Tenth Judicial Circuit is looking for community members to become Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers. A CASA is a consistent, caring presence in the life of a child who has experienced abuse or neglect. There is a critical shortage of CASA volunteers to advocate for the best interests of the over 1,800 children involved with the child welfare system in Peoria, Tazewell, Marshall, Putnam and Stark counties.
Find out more about this rewarding volunteer opportunity at a Virtual General Information Meeting, Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Join us on Zoom. (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/ 4538598976, Meeting ID: 4538598976)
Participate in our virtual training class, beginning Tuesday, May 26th at 5:30pm. This flex training incorporates online learning with classroom instruction occurring on May 28, June 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18 and 23, all beginning at 5:30pm.
If you are a caring, compassionate person who wants to help Change a Child’s Story™ then become a CASA! Already a CASA? Thank you! We'd appreciate you sharing this with others.
Additional information, including the volunteer application, can be found on our Website. Or contact CASA of the Tenth Judicial Circuit at casa@peoriacounty.org or 309-669-2939.
