Annual Joe Diffie event raises over $11,000 for St Jude Runs!
East Peoria St Jude Runs and The Avanti’s Dome in Pekin, IL
are excited to announce that through the overwhelming generosity of its
sponsors and through continued support of the musical talent, the annual Joe
Diffie concert has raised over $11,000 for St Jude Runs this year. Recently
relocated to the Avanti’s Dome in Pekin Illinois, the 2019 event has proved to
be the highest grossing event yet.
Joe Diffie stated: “I look forward to coming back to
Central Illinois each year for this event. With close family ties to the area,
it is more of a homecoming event for me. Being able to help raise money for a
charity that is very close to my heart is very important to me as well. The new
venue is the perfect backdrop for an event like this”.
Aimee Seth (East Peoria St Jude Runs Coordinator) stated: “This
years’ musical line up included a true “Pick Up Man” performance by our
headliner Joe Diffie along with two fantastic openers in Matt Miller and
Katelyn Smith. The outdoor setting at the Avanti’s Dome in Pekin provided a
great atmosphere for all in attendance and we are looking forward to the next
event in what we hope to build into a regional festival type event for the
entire family.”
Lelonie Luft (GM of Avanti’s Dome) said: “We could not be
more excited about bringing this event to Pekin. We are excited to start
planning the 2020 event and growing this new partnership at the Avanti’s Dome”.
Information on the 5th Annual Event will be
released in the coming months. There are plans to make the 2020 event, the
