South Side Trusts and Savings Bank Announces Promotions
South Side Trust & Savings Bank, a subsidiary of Mid Illinois Bancorp, Inc., at its July 2012 Board Meeting, announced the promotions of Kathy Williamson to Vice President & Human Resources Officer, Darlene Kumpf to Vice President, Valerie Sinks to Assistant Vice President & Employee Benefits Officer, and Brad Mahony to Assistant Vice President.
Williamson has worked in the banking industry for 29 years, serving as the Human Resource Director at South Side Bank for the past 17 years. She has a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from Western Illinois University. Williamson currently serves as a Heart of Illinois Human Resource Council Board member, a committee member for the Illinois Bankers’ Association Human Resource and Education Committees, an allocation committee volunteer for the Heart of Illinois United Way, and an Easter Seals VIP.
Kumpf’s responsibilities include overseeing operations and lending at the Chillicothe Facility. She has over 39 years of banking experience and has been with South Side Bank since June 1989. In addition to her professional duties, Kumpf is past president of Pearce Community Center and active with the Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce, Pearce Foundation, Chillicothe Foundation, Chillicothe Development Company and the Chillicothe Township United Fund. She is a past recipient of Peoria Area 25 Women in Leadership Award, IVC Distinguished Alumni Award, and City of Chillicothe Civic Achievement Award. She is also an adjunct instructor at Illinois Central College in East Peoria.
Sinks’ responsibilities include the Trust Department's Employee Benefit Division, Individual Retirement Accounts, and is also involved in the administration of various Qualified Defined Contribution Profit Sharing, 401k, Pension Plan and Individual Retirement Accounts. She has 22 years of banking experience and has obtained a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation from ASPPA, and is a graduate of the Cannon Personal Trust School. Sinks has volunteered for various charities, including the United Way, March of Dimes, and the American Cancer Society. She currently serves as the Treasurer of Women in Leadership of Central Illinois.
Mahony manages the Washington Facility and has ten years of banking experience. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University. Mahony serves on the Board of Directors for Crittenton Center of Peoria, Dax Locke Foundation, Washington Rotary Club, Washington Chamber of Commerce, and the Washington Rotary Foundation. He is also the co-chair for the annual Washington Feed the Need food drive.
