Pekin Hospital Receives Excellence in Leadership Award
Pekin Hospital was recently named
a winner of a 2012 Excellence in Leadership Award by Quorum Health Resources
(QHR), the
nation’s largest hospital management company and the seventh largest healthcare
consulting firm in the United States. Pekin Hospital was one of four QHR client hospitals recognized
for leadership in quality initiatives.

attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care

Used quality scores in negotiating managed care rates

Shares quality and safety tips with staff on an internal
screensaver system
As part of the awards presentation, QHR also
recognized retiring CEO Kevin Andrews for 40 years in healthcare, 20 of which
he worked for QHR, five of which were spent at Pekin Hospital. A. Richard Kriegsman, Chairman of the Pekin
Hospital Board of Trustees stated, “Our
