Methodist Nurses Earn Advanced Nursing Credentials
(December 31, 2009)—Nurses at Methodist Medical Center have completed advanced training and educational requirements to earn specialized nursing credentials.
Those nurses include Darcy Scott of Mackinaw. She completed her rehabilitation certification (CRRN) from the Rehabilitation Nursing Certification Board. Darcy works on the Methodist Rehab unit.
Also completing their rehabilitation certification were Kerry Newman of East Peoria, Jill Batterham of Mapelton and Heather Nancy of Germantown Hills.
Sandy Pryor of Mapelton, Methodist Patient Safety Coordinator, has successfully completed the American society of Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) certification and is now credentialed as a “Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).
Certification is an expert credential reserved for those who meet rigorous practice, continuing education and testing requirements in their specialty. Certification has been linked to fewer medical errors and increased job satisfaction and confidence.
