Teuerle Named Director of Case Management and Utilization Review
Pekin Hospital is pleased to announce Christine Teuerle, RN, MS, has been named Director of Case Management and Utilization Review. She joins Pekin Hospital with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare.
Teuerle most recently served as Care Management Manager at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Her extended work experience includes the following: Case Management Director, Vascular Case Manager, Manager of Vascular Lab/Vascular Nurse/RVT, Interventional Radiology Nurse Clinician, Quality Management Nurse, and Registered Nurse.
She received both her Masters Degree in Health Care Administration and Bachelor’s Degree in Health Arts from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Illinois Central College.
As Director of Case Management, Teuerle’s responsibilities include the design, implementation and evaluation of clinical systems for improvements in patient outcomes related to resource consumption and length of stay.
Jo Ellen Patterson, RN, MS, Vice President of Nursing said, “Case management is an essential element of the health care delivery system, especially in regard to patient outcomes and cost containment for both the patients and the hospital. We are very happy to have Chris join us and she brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to our Case Management Department.”
She is a member of the American Case Management Association and the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists.
