Christmas in July at Farmers Market

Santa Claus will make an appearance this week at Pekin’s Downtown Farmer’s Market on Thursday evening, July 16, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. The Farmers Market is held on Capitol Street, next to the Courthouse.

Christmas music will fill the air as market vendors will have Christmas décor and unique items for sale. Peek In Pottery providing snowflakes for children from 4:00-6:30 p.m. The market includes the following vendors: Meyers Produce – Sweet Corn, Mary Bee Farm & Greenhouse – vegetables and plants, Peoria Bread Company – organic breads, muffins, brownies and fruit pies, Lost Creek Pottery – pottery and glass work, Heritage Farmers Group – local all natural meat, cheese, honey & milk, Cheryl Webb – local all natural chickens and farm eggs, St. Benedicts Abbey – freshly made bread by the Monks, University of Illinois Extension Office – recipes and nutrition information, Haning Farms – variety of homegrown produce, Frank’s Produce – variety of produce, Rollyson-Gillespie Produce – garden veggies and crafts (Marigold Medallion Designer) and Golden-Hill Acre Farms – vegetables and fruit, Fornoff Farm Market – sweet corn and produce, Baer Meat Market – freezer beef, vegetables and produce, Nancy Vannattan – fresh produce & plants, The Kountry Nook – pickled items and crafts, G&H Merchandise - produce and the YWCA Pekin.
