ProHealth Medical Group Welcomes Surgeon

ProHealth Medical Group, part of UnityPoint Health, is pleased to announce that Dr. F. Nani Moazzam has joined ProHealth General Surgery and is now seeing patients at 600 South 13th Street, Suite I, in Pekin.

Dr. Moazzam has been a member of the Medical Staff at UnityPoint Health – Pekin since 2003 and is currently serving as President-Elect for the Medical Staff leadership team. Her two-year term as President will begin in the summer of 2017.

Dr. Moazzam is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Midwest Surgical Association and the Peoria Medical Society. She received her medical degree from Emory University and completed the General Surgery Residency Program at Loyola University.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Moazzam as part of the ProHealth team,” said Dawn Moushon, Vice President of Practice Management for ProHealth Medical Group. “Dr. Moazzam is well known and well respected throughout Central Illinois. It is a privilege to welcome her to our staff.”

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
