ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE FULBRIGHT SCHOLAR FROM EGYPT OFFERS PROGRAM ON MIDDLE EASTERN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE

Illinois Central College’s visiting Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant from Egypt, Nahed Shata, will offer a class in conversational Arabic and Middle Eastern and Islamic Cultures with a focus on Egypt. The program will be offered Monday evenings, read Monday, March 20 through May 8, from 4:30 to 6 pm in Hickory Hall on the ICC North Campus, located at 5407 N. University St., Peoria.
The class is specifically designed for social science and language teachers but is open to the public as well. PD units are available for completion of the course.
The series will focus on the interface between language and culture and will help prepare teachers to offer more in-depth content in this content area.
Cost of the program is $55.
