Pekin, IL- A quintessential Christmas experience returned to Downtown Pekin this past Friday, December 2nd.  Santa made an appearance along with Abraham Lincoln and the Grinch (maybe in more than one place). Businesses in the downtown area were open for shopping as well as pop-up market vendors for a diverse holiday shopping experience.   Christmas on Court is hosted by the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the City of Pekin Tourism Committee, Discover Pekin, and Discover Peoria. This family event emphasizes supporting a “shop small” initiative with the Pekin community.  #ShopLocal365 is a regional partnership encouraging community members to shop local at the holidays and year-round. With each community in the Greater Peoria region offering unique specialty retailers, the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce invites residents and guests from the region to use Christmas on Court as an opportunity to visit and shop Pekin.

  Hello Friends of PCHS,   As this year is drawing to a close, we are busy preparing for our first Future Focus Day of 2023 and we need your help.    Let me give you some information about the next Future Focus Day and then you can decide if you’re interested. Our next Future Focus Day will be held on January 18, 2023, from 7:50 am to 9:40 am (our students’ first two periods of the day). This is the one where we focus on mainly Career Exploration and that’s where you come in. We are looking for volunteers to either come into PCHS or visit virtually with our students about individual careers. Our students want to know how you got your job, what kind of training you had to do, whether or not you went to college, and what you do on a daily basis.
