ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE CULINARY ARTS PROGRAM ACHIEVES ACCREDITATION

Illinois Central College Culinary Arts Program received notification this month from the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation (ACFEF) that it has achieved accreditation for its Associate in Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts Management. The Culinary Arts Institute is located in Dogwood Hall on the North Campus, at 5407 N. University St., Peoria.
“The Culinary Arts Program at ICC educates students with state-of-the-art equipment and in an environment that replicates a professional kitchen,” said Business, Hospitality, and Information Systems Dean Julie Howar. “We are proud of the Culinary Arts Institute at ICC and our high job placement rate with both local and national businesses. This accreditation lends additional credence to our already stellar program.”
Program accreditation ensures the program continues to meet certain standards and levels of quality. The ACFEF will review the program again in three years.
