The 90-minute program is designed to provide the tools and skills to understand basic food label reading and how it applies to diabetes meal planning. At the completion of the course, participants will:
• Demonstrate recognition of serving size from sample labels
• Verbalize the relation of serving size to carbohydrate choice
• Utilize total carbohydrate and dietary fiber to determine carbohydrate choice
Workshop speakers will include registered dieticians with meal planning experience.
