Sunset Hills Eatery: Business After Hours Recap



Pekin, IL- Andrea and Corey Campbell welcomed the Members of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce to the newly re-branded Sunset Hills Eatery and Golf Course last night for a Business After Hours. We had the opportunity to hear about the big vision the Campbell's have for one of Pekin's most nostalgic stops. 

With just over 155 acres of land, the Sunset Hills Golf Course boasts incredible views and challenging courses for golfers and disc golfers alike. In fact, this establishment draws in multiple international disc golfing events every year, some with over 900 registered players! 

Sunset Hills Eatery also hopes to begin filling a big need in Pekin: banquet dining. With the addition of an upscale banquet tent on the property, the Campbell's are excited to offer weddings, reception dinners and more.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
