Pekin Restaurant Week 2022 Announced for February 7th – 11th

 

Dine in, carry out or deliver with a special line-up of Pekin restaurants the week of February 7th for a chance to win $100 in a community spending program.

 

Pekin, IL – The Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Pekin Restaurant Week 2022, held February 7th through 11th.

Pekin Restaurant week offers local food enthusiasts an opportunity to experience some of the city’s most highly sought restaurants. For five consecutive, dining-packed days, participating establishments showcase their favorite menu offerings. Lending an ideal reason to explore Pekin’s culinary scene, diners can experience new restaurants and familiar favorites alike. The promotion includes a Grand Prize giveaway: $100 in Chamber Checks, community-based checks that operate like gift certificates to participating businesses. Three patrons will be awarded Chamber Checks after submitting proof of purchases to the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce website before February 12, 2022.

“We are excited to highlight the variety of restaurant options available to our Pekin residents and guests throughout the region,” says Executive Director Amy McCoy of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce.

McCoy reflects for a community of Pekin’s size, the niched options are a unique reason to visit. “Delicious pizza, steak and salmon dinners, Irish faire, best donuts around; there’s just a great selection here!”

The Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce continues to promote Shop Local events throughout the year: a crucial endeavor to support growth and expansion of the Pekin business community. Pekin Restaurant Week will offer residents an opportunity to engage in their community and nurture a connection with where they live.

Accounting for the impact of COVID-19 on small businesses – and with support of the restaurant industry at heart – the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce has included dine-in as well as delivery and carry-out menu options as part of the promotion. This increases opportunities for residents and visitors to participate despite an increasing positivity rate throughout Central Illinois.

Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
