CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Upcoming Volunteer Training

The next training class to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for a child who has experienced abuse or neglect begins Monday, March 9, 2020. This flex training incorporates both classroom sessions and online learning with the classroom instruction occurring from 5:30 – 8:30pm on March 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26 at Advanced Medical Transport, 1718 N Sterling Ave, Peoria.

There is a critical shortage of volunteers to serve the nearly 1,600 children involved with the child welfare system in Peoria, Tazewell, Marshall, Putnam and Stark counties. If you are a caring, compassionate person who wants to help Change a Child’s Story™ then become a CASA! Advocate for a child's best interest so the child is placed in a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.

To learn more about the training and how you can become a CASA contact CASA of the Tenth Judicial Circuit at 309-669-2939 or casa@peoriacounty.org. Additional information can be found at www.casaofthetenth.org/volunteer-as-a-casa/.
