               ICC is hosting an open house for potential students and their families to meet with representatives from a wide variety of programs. Potential students of any age are encouraged to attend. The event is free and open to the public.
Information will be available on the application and financial aid processes, career planning, and opportunities to transfer from ICC to a four-year college or university. Representatives from ICC’s programs of study will be on hand to answer questions, along with staff who can assist undecided students in getting a start on finding a program of study or career path matching their interests. Information on academic resources and extracurricular activities, as well as student housing will be available.
               Enrollment Services will have extended hours to assist students who are ready to apply, test or enroll. Financial aid representatives also will be available to answer questions.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
