ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE STUDENTS PERFORM EIGHT-MINUTE IDEA EXCHANGE TALKS APRIL 29

Illinois Central College English students will perform eight-minute idea exchange presentations in the “A Way with Words” event on Friday, April 29, from 1-4 pm, in the Academic Building Lecture/Recital Hall, Room 127F, on the East Peoria Campus. This is the second edition of the event, which played to a full house and enthusiastic crowd in 2015.
Students from 12 sections of ICC’s English 111 will choose one peer’s semester capstone presentation to represent their class for the event. Students from ICC’s Interpreter Preparation Program will provide a signed interpretation of the presentations as part of their semester internship.
The presentations will feature the student’s original idea for making the world a better place and will cover a broad range of topics, including education, technology, agriculture and social justice.
The event is free and open to the public.
