Community Foundation of Central Illinois Receives Charitable Gift from Erie Insurance

PEORIA- The Community Foundation of Central Illinois (CFCI) received a $3,000 charitable donation from the Peoria Branch office of Erie Insurance.  The donation was part of a $75,000 collective donation presented by Erie Insurance President and CEO Terry Cavanaugh to 24 Community Foundations across eleven states throughout the company’s service footprint.

“The Community Foundation of Central Illinois is very grateful for this gift,” said CFCI CEO Mark Roberts. “Erie Insurance is to be commended for their innovative approach to corporate philanthropy by teaming up with community foundations.”

“The CFCI is a valuable community partner, and we’re honored to partner with them to help others in our community,” said Erie Insurance Peoria Branch Vice President and Manager Ray Cogan.

The $3,000 donation will become part of CFCI’s Unrestricted Fund.  “Gifts to this fund are particularly valuable to us,” said Roberts.  “A robust Unrestricted Fund provides CFCI maximum flexibility in making grants to meet current and future community needs.  We’re thankful for the locally-based employees of Erie Insurance and the support they have provided to us.”
