Methodist College of Nursing Accredited by Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

Peoria, Illinois (April 30, 2010)--Methodist College of Nursing (MCON) is proud to announce that its nursing program has received initial accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE ensures the quality of and integrity of baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs through accreditation. 

The Methodist nursing program also has accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. (NLNAC). MCON’s nursing program now has both accreditation’s available for nursing education programs and is the only area nursing program with both accreditation’s.

Dr. Kimberly Johnston President of Methodist College of Nursing said, “ This accreditation is focused on the quality of institutions of higher and professional education and on the quality of educational programs within the institutions. To the prospective student, accreditation provides a guide to quality programs that have been reviewed by an objective outside accrediting body.”
