Free Methodist Health Forum Focuses on High Blood Pressure
One in three adults in this country have high blood pressure and from 1996 to 2006, the death rate from high blood pressure increased almost 20%. Central Illinois residents will have an opportunity to learn more about “Controlling Your Blood Pressure” during a free “Coffee with the Doctor Health Forum” Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until noon. The program will be presented at the new Methodist North at Allen Road Conference Center at 2338 W. Sud Parkway at the intersection of Route 6 and Allen Road.
Dr. Aaron Boyer of the Methodist Medical Group at Peartree will present a program on how to control blood pressure for healthier life. Dr. Boyer is a board certified family medicine physician.
Hannah Lee, R.D. is a Registered Dietitian at Methodist who will present a healthy cooking demonstration and show how meals can be appealing and still be healthy.
