Peoria St. Patrick’s Day Parade Cancelled

With a heavy heart, the St. Patrick Society of Peoria announces that the 40th Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade has been canceled due to the potential for coronavirus (COVID-19) activity in our region.

This decision is based on the Peoria City Officials' choice to limit numbers of people congregating.
The St. Patrick Society of Peoria is the host of the annual parade.

The health and safety of the parade’s participants -- which include many members of our community including veterans, students, business owners and their employees, as well as spectators, volunteers, and event staff -- is paramount.

We thank the residents of the Peoria area and beyond who planned to attend the parade as spectators, as well as those who registered to participate in the event and hoped to celebrate the holiday with us.

We hope they plan to return for future parades. All entry fees paid by the participants will be refunded.

The St Patrick Society Parade is the largest in Illinois taking place on March 17th every year. This would have been the 40th Annual parade honoring the patron saint of Ireland.

The Society wishes a happy and healthy St. Patrick’s Day to all.
