Professional Therapy Services Announces Partnership with Evidence In Motion

Professional Therapy Services (PTS) is pleased to announce an official partnership with Evidence In Motion (EIM), which will allow them to collaborate in the delivery of EIM’s Orthopaedic and Sports Residencies, Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship, Postprofessional Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT), and Certification training programs. Through the Network Partnership, PTS clinics will serve as training sites for these evidence-based training programs.

Using the most up-to-date research and cutting edge technology, EIM is transforming the way physical therapists are trained and educated, allowing professionals to complete the majority of the coursework online.  EIM’s programs are delivered to the physical therapist where they live and work through web-based educational “distance learning” platforms.  Online learning is complimented by a thorough mentoring program and on-site weekend intensives conducted at Network Partner locations throughout the United States and Canada, now including PTS’ 16 outpatient locations in Illinois.

Many members of EIM’s faculty are recognized internationally for their contributions to education, research, and clinical practice. EIM’s faculty have received more than 95 research grants totaling over $10.5 million, taught over 220 university level courses, founded over forty different business organizations, and held appointed positions in more than 40 state and 115 national and international professional associations. Under their supervision, Residents and Fellows have the opportunity to receive the highest caliber of training and become distinguished leaders in evidence-based orthopaedic and manual physical therapy practice.

The addition of PTS as a Network Partner will allow EIM to reach a broader base of physical therapists while allowing PTS to expand its internal clinical education and research activities. Several of the offerings included in the Residency and Fellowship curricula will be made available to all PTS staff, enhancing lifelong learning and quality improvement initiatives for professional personnel.
