CANDIDATE PACKETS FOR ICC BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTION AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 14

Candidate packets for the Illinois Central College Board of Trustees consolidated election will be available on Wed., September 14, 2016. Candidates may begin routing petitions to gather the 50 required signatures beginning September 20, 2016. Three seats on the ICC Board of Trustees are up for election on the April 4, 2017 ballot.
Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify to run for a position on the Board:
·        Qualified elector/registered voter
·        U.S. citizen aged 18 or older
·        Resident of Illinois
·        Resident of ICC District #514 for at least one year prior to the election on April 4, 2017

In addition, potential candidates must file a petition including 50 signatures, a Statement of Candidacy, and a receipt for filing a Statement of Economic Interest from the Tazewell County Clerk. These items may be filed with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees between December 12 and 19, 2016.
A lottery for ballot placement will be held on December 20, 2016, at 9 a.m. in Room L422 on the ICC East Peoria Campus for candidates waiting in line to file petitions as of 8 a.m. on December 12, 2016, or for those petitions received in the first mail on that date.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
