This year come out for Paul's 62nd Birthday and wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt to help us celebrate.  The Shake is playing and bringing all their great talent to the stage for the party.  We are giving a dollar of each admission to the Colon Cancer Alliance that helps fund Colon Cancer research and also supports local cancer patient outreach. Our goal is $1000 for the charity. The UNDIE RUN group is going to be there that night hosting a 50-50 raffle, face painting and a DUNK TANK too.
Dunk a Friend that night,  talk a friend in to getting in the tank for a great cause and to cool off.  You can donate $10 for three balls or $15 for five balls and try to "get YOUR friends wet" for a good cause.  Learn about the UNDIE RUN for the Colon Cancer Alliance on Peoria's riverfront this October 8th and how you can participate.

As many people know eradicating colon cancer and easing the suffering it causes to victims and their families has become a focus for our family since Paul's colon cancer diagnosis in 2012. If you catch it early you have an excellent chance of full remission, and that is our goal to get people to get screened by age 50 and earlier if you have a family history of Colon cancer. Join us for this celebration with Paul and our family and friends for the gift of another year together.  You are precious , your life is precious, get checked... please

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
