Pekin Hospital Honors Employees and Volunteers

Pekin Hospital, ProHealth Medical Group and Progressive Health Systems recently honored employees and volunteers at two events that celebrate outstanding service.

The 57th Annual Employee Awards Banquet recognized 75 employees with more than 1,100 combined years of service. Individual recipients of the Trust Builder Awards were Dr. Reggie Bowman, Dr. Gordon Cross, Dr. Ben Hanshaw, Dr. Nani Moazzam, Dr. Paul Siebert, Cora Hamilton, Dawn Klaasen, Kelli Severns, Emily Sosey and Shannon Stubbs. Department and practice recipients were Food Services, Materials Management, Patient Financial Services, ProHealth Pediatrics and the Women’s Diagnostic Center.

More than 130 volunteers were honored at the 2016 Volunteer Luncheon. Recognition was given for 19,465 combined hours donated over the last year to Courier Services, Lobby and Information Desk Services, Pharmacy, Radiology and Surgical Waiting. The volunteer with the most hours donated over the past year was Beulah Snyder with 1,344 total hours. Volunteer Thelma Johnson was honored for more than 10,000 lifetime hours of service.


“We are blessed to have so many dedicated employees and volunteers who take pride in serving our patients with courtesy and compassion,” said Crystal Elliott, Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development. “The annual recognition events allow us to say thank you for their hard work and continued service to our communities.”
