Harper McClary Wins a Birthday Party Package From Pekin Park District
Harper McClary was the lucky winner of a drawing at the Pekin Park District booth at the Pekin Business Showcase on April 16, 2016, at the Avanti's Dome. Harper's family enjoyed all the activities and displays at the Showcase and then walked away a winner of a Birthday Party Package at Soldwedel!
Soldwedel Program Center, located adjacent to McNaughton park off Route 98, offers themed "Birthday In-A-Box" packages for children ages 4 to 10. These party kits take the hassle out of birthday planning by providing a variety of fun party activities and decorations. Harper's win includes having a party facilitator who will decorate, present party activities and clean up. Out of the several packages to choose from, Harper chose the theme Old Fashioned Fun. With this package, her guests will get to play favorite games like Pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey; Sack Races; Pin Drop; Can Toss; and Egg Relays. Her guests will be encouraged to wear "old fashioned" country-style clothing such as straw hats and bonnets, overalls, and aprons.
Harper's family said they love participating in all the Park activities and Programs and this will give them another fun park experience to remember. And, with her June birthday fast approaching, this win was perfect timing for them.
