Financial Planning & Tax Specialists, Jacob Taylor and Krystal Fortner, earn rights to use CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation. 

The Busey Wealth Management team congratulates Financial Planning & Tax Specialists, Jacob Taylor and Krystal Fortner, on earning their CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM designations by the CFP Board of Standards. The CFP® designation is one of the most prestigious in the financial industry and is widely recognized as a symbol of professional expertise and integrity.

Taylor and Fortnerassist financial and wealth advisors in engaging clients through the financial planning process. Their responsibilities include compiling data, creating personal financial statements, performing analysis and aiding in the development of recommendations and strategies to strengthen clients’ financial health. Taylor graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Agriculture and Consumer Economics. Fortner graduated from California State University, East Bay with her Masters of Business Administration in Finance.


With nearly 70 years of experience, the five member Financial Planning & Tax team helps clients explore tax, legal and financial planning options available and most appropriate for their unique financial situation. The team serves all Busey Wealth Management clients.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
